Brake Valve issues

We have gone through 4 proportioning valves in 18 months. This is a known issue at the factory as they have a ready supply of them in stock. It is not logical to assume it is only us that has the brake valve gods irritated so I thought I would check with the community to see what others may know about this.

Yep here I am Fuzzy.

Welcome aboard I am sorry to say you are the first that has posted this problem on this forum. What is happening to cause you to replace the equalizer valve? I'm not a brake design engineer but if all the calipers are working as they should that valve does nothing but sit there. When something in either the front or the rear system fails the valve favors the good side so you have some brakes. It's not really a complicated system. Are the o rings in the valve failing? Any chance you are putting the wrong fluid in? Need more info.

I have an 08 Stallion and it hasn't had any problems with the brakes. Are you losing brakes completely or is it pulling to one side? Little more info as to what your brakes are doing to be able to help.

The issue is that the valve leaks. There is a port on the valve that is covered by a rubber cap and the port leaks brake oil. Since it leaks air can be introduced to the brake lines, which is not a good thing. The local Stallion dealer has replaced brake valves other than ours. We seem for some reason to have gotten more than our fair share bad valves. Thus far, it has not affected braking but can cause and issue in releasing from the Park position on the gear shift. If there is insufficient pressure in the brake system, the release from Park is very difficult.
