Installing new rotors and brake pads on the rear of the Tri Glide, right side went on fine. Left side would not go over the new rotor. I thought the puck might be screwed up so I backed it out a little bit and now it won't go in at all. Anybody have this problem and how can I resolve it?IMG_2024-09-28-14-20-19-801.jpg

Are you turning and pushing the piston at the same time?
That is how they go in, those 2 holes is where you insert the tool to turn it in
I've got the tool to do it with Jack and I'm pushing like hell. I must have pushed and turned over a hundred times and it won't go in at all.

I use a tool similar to this, sometimes the pistons get to far out and get cocked

I have the same tool myself. No I don't have the bleeder screw open I have the top off the master cylinder. I put several sets of brake pads on this over the years I never had to crack a bleeder screw. I'm at a loss as to why the puck won't screw in.

I've been screwing with this since 8:00 this morning. I'll be back tomorrow and continue. Thanks Jack

With a little perseverance I got the problem taking care of. Apparently when you back out the puck too far, and you try to screw it in it moves very minutely. After trying to screw it in for hours it barely moves, but it does move then it reaches a certain point where it screws right in with two or three turns. What a royal pain in the ass that was. Live and learn.
