Brake life

I understand the brake life is pretty much dependent upon the way you ride but what is a ballpark mileage for front and rear brakes? Tires also. Thanks

On my '11 I put new rear pad on around 35,000 miles and they still had better than 30% of the meat left.

Front pad were replaced at the same time with about the same amount of meat left.

You are right, it totally depends on how one rides/brakes on how long they'll last.

On tires, rear should last 50K at minimum.

Front tire is VERY dependent on how you ride. I've worn out a front tire in less than 8,000 miles....lots of fast winding roads when the tire was "skipping" thru the curves....literally shave the rubber off.

I have also gotten close to 20k out of front tires, where I kept the speed closer to the speed limit in the curves, and had a lot of fairly straight riding.

I have a 2012 TG. The rear brakes were wasted at 12K miles. The rotors were shot too. I ordered the HD replacements that are mentioned in the Service Bulletin M1339. These parts are an upgrade from 2012 to 2013. My front brake is the original and is good. I replaced the front tire as well at 12K miles. I used a Michelin Commander II rear tire and mounted it in reverse.
