Anyone have one of these for a GL1800? I wonder how good they work? The ones I have heard about in past ( not sure of manufacture) didn't seem to register correct all the time. Like to know if these are worth the money. bigred

I'm assuming you mean Blue Monkey Motorsports? If so, I've been using their products for years (mostly on sport bike applications). Personally, I LOVE THEM. (have one on one of my bikes that didn't come factory with a gear indicator). There are several different types of these; I've learned to avoid the cheaper "knock off" versions as they don't seem to last as well, and seem to have some accuracy issues.

Also, if you "miss a shift" they can read inaccurately because it still registers it on the gear indicator as a shift typically.. Once you're in high gear, or 1st, they will begin showing correctly at that time.

HERE's one that looks like the one Blue Monkey is selling... I know nothing about it, just happened to see the listing. I, too, was interested in a gear indicator, but so far I haven't found one for a 1500.
