Hey all. Converted my 2001 Roadking to a trike and love but I can't get rear brakes bled. I have tried everything. Do I need a proportioning valve? I can pump it up and get good strong pedal but the instance I let off nothing. Thanks for any help.

Patrick, Welcome to Trike Talk

More info would be a plus to help solve your problem

What is your rear brake set up?

What master cylinder do you have?

welcome patrick you need a residual valve. they make them for disk and drum. it keeps the fluid from backing out.

Brake bleeding

Thanks for your response. Sorry I haven't responded earlier. Have been busy with trike. I actually researched other notes and one of the other members had an easy fix. I removed one caliper at a time and inserted between pads a skil saw wrench, about 1/8 inch thick. Pumped the pedal 3 or 4 times and wow! Have a strong pedal. It rolled the plungers boots out and all good. Thanks for all the help!
