Black on hands from grips

The grips on my GW1800 are leaving black on my hands after long rides. Is there something I can put on the grips to prevent this?

Grips not heated

My grips are not heated but I believe they are not the stock ones as they are chrome with black rubber-type inserts and may be larger than stock.

The reason that I asked if your bike has heated grips was covered here. But, I do have heated grips, and even though I very seldom turn them on, my grips are wearing down and coming off on my hands. Solution......Wash your hands when you get home. That is what I do. And at the cost of new heated grips, I'll wear them down to the nubs. And remember, new heated ones are half the price of what Harley heated grips are.

Thanks for the replies. I have the Kuryakyn Grips . I was hoping that there was something I could coat them with to eliminate the black rubbing off. Not sure the puppies would work as my grips seem larger than the originals.

I wonder if using some of that clear 3M protective stuff on the grips would stop the problem, but still let the heated grips work like they're supposed too?

I realize you'd probably have to have an overlapping portion to make sure they "stay stuck", but may be a cheap & simple way to fix that pesky problem?

Figured that after I first suggested the grip puppies and you then explained further,That's why I suggested OEM grips and put the grip puppies on them.

Just a suggestion but, have you tried washing the Kury's with dish washer detergent?
