I may have mentioned in passing that a new Wing would be in my garage soon. Here is a picture taken Saturday afternoon about 2:30.

By the time I closed the door on my shop it looked like this...

Today I finished up the doodads. Cut up the seat to add the Utopia back rest and added BikeMP3 Daytime running lights to the front cowl.

The real transformation comes in a couple weeks when the Roadsmith HTS 1800 trike kit gets here!!!! More Photos to follow then...

Nice! Is that stock paint? If so, Honda has finally woke up. The lines and colors almost, almost look a bit....Harley-ish.

Same plastic since 2012. Honda paraided out the new paint in honor of the 40th anniversary Gold Wing.

If they were smart, Honda would offer similar paint jobs every year, not just on anniversary editions. The Goldwing is a great bike, but who wants a bike that looks exactly like every other bike on the road? Harley has done a great job in their paint scheme options, if Honda followed suit they would probably see Goldwing sales increasing rather than decreasing. Motorcycles aren't a need, they are a want and a beautiful, sexy looking bike has a lot more appeal than a plain jane. Honda sells technology. Harley sells emotion.

Are those "stock upper" taillights?

I remember old Goldwings had them

GOOD CATCH!!! :pepper: :pepper: I was wondering how long it would take to get noticed. No, Honda has not gone back to the Euro style lights. I swapped the ones off my '06 with the new ones. I think the Euro style just goes so much better with my color scheme. A solid color looks good with the solid red trunk lights but the Candy Red/black needed more pop back there.

I see where you have gotten on board with the Roadsmith. My kit should be in a couple weeks. Getting a bit psyched!!

Beautiful looking bike can't wait to see it as a trike. Was it difficult to do the back rest and do you have a heated seat?
Tom

Installing the Utopia seat does take a steady hand but Bob gives good instructions. I've put three or four of these in now (the last two in heated seats) so it's not difficult for me. The trick I learned is to visualize the knife headed to the two holes that will be drilled into the seat pan. I also use a metal ruler to slide in before trying to get the back bar in place. The ruler sort of guided the bar through the foam.

Love that Stock paint job, bout time HONDA. Think Honda of Russelville has a pic of one triked out!
