This Monday Aug 22 my friend and brother Larry 'Ringo" Ring passed away he was an old school biker,he lead a long and colorful life. When he got out of school he pack his 40 Knucklehead and headed out was gone for a year seeing the country working enough to get gas money so he could move on.In the 80's he started racing HD's in pro fuel with his son Happy as the pilot when Hap was just 16,in two years he switched to Top Fuel and in the 90's he had the # 1 top fuel team in the country, his Top Fueler was the first 6 second fuel HD in the country. He was a hell of a wrench and my mentor when it came to learning about HD's. Every time the phone rings and i answer it I expect to hear that old gravely voice say,hey buddy bud what's going on.I will miss him dearly.
With in an hour of hearing of his passing my friend Greg calls to tell me his mother has passed. So this Saturday will be spent going from one funeral to another. When we get over 60 it seems like we spend too much time at these.

Sorry to hear about your friend and his mom Steve, condolences all around.

I've learned that one of the hardest things about aging is watching your friends and relatives leave this world. Soon, it tends to get lonely because fewer of your buddies are still around.

Sorry for the loss of your friend and his mom. I turned 60 a couple of years ago and you are right about spending way to much time in funeral homes. I guess it's just the way life treats us. Another thing I've learned, 60 not old anymore!

Sorry for your and His family for your loss.

It Hurts to loose friends and good people.
Then we realize each year there are less left of the greatest generation.
These people have a pure love and understanding of mechanisms
that will never be replaced by computer info. Special skill info is lost
and the good times laughing over mistakes that got you there.
Doesn't this remind you of someone you miss and didn't spend enough
time to hear more stories ? I hope we see these people on the other side.
Can you imagine meeting people in the after world that you admired
and wanted to be with more ? God Speed must be a rush.
Peace
