Hello all, I recently installed a Kuryakyn batwing fairing pouch and Klock Werks windshield on my 18 tri-glide. I now have gap at the top of my fairing on each side of the windshield. Any suggestions on how to alleviate this problem?

Thanks

Brian

Hi Brian, Welcome aboard. I'm trying to visualize.....Did it only occur after you installed the pouch? Instruction do require removal of the stock middle screw and replacing it with the screw and washer provided with the pouch. Then torque all screws based on install instructions.

If I recall correctly, many of Klockwerks are kind of oddball shaped (not saying they don't work well at keeping the wind off), and this may account for the gaps. They may not be there if you have a regular curved windshield.

AND...Welcome to Trike Talk from eastern Kentucky!

I have the same issue after installing a thicker Freedom Shield and the HD windshield pouch. You only see it at the top outside edge of the bat wing if it's what I think you're talking about.

It's normal, not much you can do about it. You are the only one apt to see it anyway...

I thought about a small bead of clear silicone but I didn't. Doesn't bother me anymore.

Happy motoring!

That has been my experience on my 16 TGU also. Small opening left on each side , but very small. If you tighten them too much, as stated above, you can pull out the brass insert or cause the windshield to crack in the area where the screws go.

The same applies to the screws that secure the inner fairing to the outer, you tighten them too much and you will pull out the brass fittings.

When I did mine the pouch came with some gasket strips with a sticky back to tape along the edge of the inside to fill in the gap
