Anyone planning a trip through Alabama, give some thought to visiting Barbers Motorsports Park just east of Birmingham. Besides being a world class road racing complex, it has one of the best motorcycle museums in the world..

I've been 3 times and still don't think I've seen all the collection! Check them out here:

actually, my friends and i will be taking a trip to atlanta, in june. we were considering a stop through so we can check out the Barber Museum. lookin forward to it. we will also be arriving in atlanta for the napa southern nationals! gonna be a great time!

If you are in that area and have a day or two, also check out the Wheels Through Time Museum in Maggie Valley, NC.

We visited last May when we took a trip to the Smokies. The Barber Museum was something, and the Wheels Through Time was something else again! One of the highlights was watching the owner do burnouts in the museum on a late 30's/early 40"s Crocker. He has 2 of 6 known surviving HD hillclimbers out of 20 ever made, the big motorcycle from the show "Big" that is about 7' tall at the saddle. The thing is that everything in the place runs, and the owner is more than happy to start them up. I could go on and on, but check the website.
