Had the glide now for a couple of months & am finding that I have to reach forward for the bars & on a long trip this is giving me back pain, Has anyone changed their stock bars for something that comes back further???
I changed my bar for the 2" pullback (part# 56176-08). My clutch cable was not long enough. To slove the problem I rerouted the cable from the hole in the dash to below the dash. As I recall I removed the cable at the handle which I thought was easier than doing it at the transmission. If I was stopped and had the bars hard to the right the clutch wouldn't release but worked okay otherwise.
On a 2005 HD Ultra I had the same problem so bought Wild ones 578's & had an indy install em. Had to have 2" longer clutch cable. Whole thing ran $700 but the difference was amazing. Wrecked the bike next month. Bars went to MC heaven with the bike :xzqxz:
