Back to the Stone Age

I just arrived back in Dubai about an hour and a half ago (9 hours ahead, so it is now 3:49 pm in Molino, FL).<br />
<br />
I had a great three weeks home, gained a lot of weight...the diet starts on Thursday as well as growing back my beard for the upcoming winter when I arrive back in Kandahar.<br />
<br />
I also got to enjoy three days in London, went to the ACE Cafe...the british riders really like their safety gear...no t-shirts on these guys. <br />
<br />
I also was able to attend 2 showings of WWRY (Queen musical....We Will Rock You) at the Dominion Theater...great voices, great band and "loud" (on Saturday and Monday nite).<br />
<br />
Now I have a lot of thinking to do....will probably be taking the plunge on the Stallion early next year by putting a substantial deposit on one in March...I just hope there is a "downward" price adjustment to go with it if I wait that long. Should also be getting a new 2011 Triumph Rocket Tourer at the same time.<br />
<br />
Enjoy the riding while I am gone...I will go back to being envious of you who can, my wife did like the Stallion so that went well...now I just have to wait.<br />

Thanks for the well wishes. I "suffered" thru Dubai and arrived in KAF on Thursday. I have tried to get out of KAF the last two days but the haze in southern Afghanistan has prevented most helo flights from going to and from the different FOB's/camps. I am not even trying tomorrow (Sunday) just going to take it easy and do laundry and wait and try again on Monday.<br />
