Auto Cycles

Yes I am.

Officially now they call them auto cycles in most states.

I'm guessing to eliminate special license to drive one.

Now to answer the question if there was a vandalhal Dealer near me and I can get a test ride in one and if I was comfortable I definitely would trade in my Triglide..The slingshot I tried it but getting in and out of it is a hassle ''For me "and just a little too wide especially the front end

Like the head turning look of the Slingshot, and the side by side ride, but somebody mentioned getting in and out of the thing, yeah, I tried that too. Another thing, where the h*** do you put any gear for a week away, especially for two.

When compared side by side, the Vanderhall seems to be better engineered than a SlingShot.

It also offers a fully automatic transmission, that the S/S still to date doesn't, so those with leg issues can actually ride/enjoy the vehicle...:clapping:

I sent them an E-Mail some time ago, To get more info on them and is there a dealer near me.... They got back saying someone will notify me soon with my request... So far no reply...And that was 3 weeks ago.......I probably should send them another E-Mail....

If they allow test rides Bob, try to get a go pro camera, or similar, to vid the ride...?

Hopefully they don't end up like Elio...:p:Shrug:

When these "cars" first started showing up I said to myself, no damn way. As I age and pain levels have started going thru the roof I'm changing my mind. Already have a Spyder that my wife rides. The Stallion just doesn't do it for me nor does the Slingshot. But some of the others have promise. To me you have to get past the "car" part and I guess I'm getting there. But if going with a car, why not have heat and air? So I'm still wrestling with it. I just don't want to give up all together and go with a car. And conventional trikes are becoming common. So I'm liking the idea of something really different. Sometimes choices aren't good as some of these things are really pricey and my bank account just isn't up to the task anymore. Spent too much already but I am going to have to do something soon. So keeping my options open as wel as trying to get my mind in the accepting phase. Oh, and can I take the ribbing that is sure to follow.

And conventional trikes are becoming common.

Yeah, there's a reason for that, it's called "reliable"

Those other rides are so new, the reliability isn't proven yet.

I was at a Honda dealership that sold converted Goldwings trikes and two wheeled Goldwings.

On the other side of the showroom was every model and color of Can-Am Spyder's

The sales manager admitted the Spyder's were new to the market but none are proven for reliability.

One model he claimed you had to take off 4 panels just to get at the oil filter.

They have 4 on-board computers and the cheapest was $850.00.

Make your choice.

Good comment Mike, guess that's one reason I'm not riding the Spyder, I just was not ready to make that 'quality' leap. Nothing against Spyders, 'cause I just don't know from experience.

I personally LOVE the looks of the "Slingshot",!

I would get one in a heartbeat, BUT WIFE SAYS NO.. ,then she says where do you plan on parking the thing, and it got me thinking, she was right, BUT she says if you do get one I will leave you, Aaaaaaaaaa, perfect I said, I'll park it right where your car used to be............Then she hit me! :banana-pair::banana-pair:

I went from 30,000 miles on my conventional trike, to 8,000 (so far) on my 2017 Spyder........and, for me, I am very glad I am on the Spyder. The safety features have saved my "stuff" twice. Loved my old trike (it was a lot nicer to look at for sure), but love this one more.

Some people complain about the nanny but it is a good thing. I personally like the steering assist once you get used to riding with your Spydie hands and don't fight it. That takes some getting used to for some. Me included. I don't ride the Spyder that much. It's my wife's. So I've only ridden when I have to. Like when I got a flat but had a doctors appointment. We switched rides so to speak. We were on the way to the appointment so she stayed with the Indian after a friend arrived so she wasn't alone and I took the Spyder for the remaining 12 miles. I think other than the 25 I rode bringing the first one home that's the most I've ridden one. So I haven't got Spydie hands yet. But you are right. The safety features are great on them.:clapping:
