Well, two Congress critters filed this bill yesterday to ban Assault Weapons and other semi automatic weapons (a lot of pistols). If the Democrats win in November our 2nd ammendent rights are toast in my humble opinion.

My Goodness! They put an amazing amount of work into a document that has not an iota of a possibility of passing anywhere at any time for the sole purpose of being able to say "The Republicans don't care about the children"!!

Prohibiting all semi auto rifles and pistols while articulating a list of guns NOT banned such as lever action or slide-fire or over/under. 126 pages of nonsense for political posturing.

Democrats are like un-disciplined, whiny children and they certainly are slow learners!!!

I just became a felon. Have 2 semi-auto Browning shot guns for bird hunting, which under that bill, are illegal. Own 2 bump stocks, 27 pairs of pants w/belt loops and 2 thumbs which act the same, if not better, than a bump stock. Several HC magazines.

Let me explain something about active shooter scenarios that may help in understanding why there could be confusion during a shooting.

I know this basic information because my youngest son is a Federal agent for the NGA & teaches classes all over the country.

For a long time, officers were taught to gather at the scene & form a perimeter.

That changed after Columbine in Colorado.

Older officers or officers not recently trained may not be up on the latest standard operating procedures for an active shooter scenario.

It's best to wait till the facts come out before hanging someone out to dry.

There will be time for that later, if need be.

The Doctor's (mental health) that evaluate these kid's should be a mandatory reporting to the NICS authorities. Oh heck yes. When, not if this happens, it's all over. Russia or China will just walk in and take over. Heck, maybe it will even be Mexico. The little darlings on the left will say to their dying breath, "wait, you can't do that" and that will be the extent of their resistance. They've already proven they'll let criminals loose to do the very same thing that put them in prison in the first place. Yep, it will be all over.
