Are you ready for the Eclipse August 21st? Did you know it

brings its own unique kind of Space Weather? Learn more

about how the eclipse will affect you, see when the next

solar storm will hit and where aurora might be visible, and

catch the recent flare activity from the new sunspot that

has rotated into Earth view this week.

I'm going to be searching for the Aurora Borealis tonight and tomorrow. I've always wanted to see the northern lights. :clapping:

One of the' experts' on tv said auto-darkening helmets weren't approved, also a regular welding helmet had to have a lense dark enough that you could only see the sun when you looked thru it. I tried my helmet today and could see clouds,so be careful.

Beware of Chinese glasses , There out to get us one way or the other. :pokey:

Ill watch it get dark then gradually get light, the rest will be on the news:cxtv:

I'm in the path.Seems to be really big deal around here with renting rooms in their homes out and even parking spots in fields.Finding glasses is a joke so if I look at all a welding helmet it will be.It will be an interesting day with the store being open.I wonder how many parts we will be selling.

This happening does not peak interest in this household...too old I guess.

I'm sure people who have never seen any kind of an eclipse are anxiously waiting as we once did - and more power to them. They can say "been there, done that".

The only thing I would be watching for (via the Weather Channel) would be if the sun didn't make a come-back...then we'd be in deep du-du-.(Sweating)

Relief from the sun's intense blaze will be most welcome for 2 or 3 hours.

Local news did a piece on the effect of the eclipse on wildlife. Bismarck zoo invited people to come watch. I may grab the camera and run down for that. There's a strong chance for clouds, so may be nothing to see anyway.

The virgin will be thankful...;)

Wow you also watched those old jungle movies.....

Made it to the zoo. The wolves didn't howl, the coyotes didn't cry, it was like, "What eclipse?"

Caught mama and baby bobcat playing

And the trees made neat pinhole projectors

I think we needed a more complete eclipse to get the animals excited...

My 2 girl dogs went outside to bask in the glory of the veiled (not blacked out) sun for a bit.

The 2 boys just yawned and stretched out on their favorite place - Mama's chair!

Ya-Yah I saw a fingernail image in the sky.

Its over now, so back to your local programming :clapping:

BTW for all you miliniums I saw at Wallymart staring at the sky with out glasses, in the morning its gona hurt :Joker3: but then what does this old man know

Glad things will be back to normal tomorrow.Traffic sucked here today.People driving in from all over the country.I did get out to see it and it was cool.Darkness for 2 min in the middle of the day and some relief from the temps.
