I'm already a little burned out on the Bin Laden story, but I keep flipping channels watching for something particularly newsworthy. Anyone got anything worth sharing?

Forget watching the news. You should be reading it. My local paper (Newsday) printed a letter from me basically saying that it shouldn't be referred to as burial at sea (reserved for respected people). But as flushing a rat.

Yeah-some genius reported if we hadn't buried him according to their tradition we might have upset them and made them want to retaliate.
Guess killing him didn't bother them

Ya know what is also funny. That he was living in a house that few of us can afford and his minions live mostly in hovels. You would think that these rocket scientists would get a clue that jihad just doesn't pay! I am just glad that he is still surrounded by Seals! Get it....buried at sea!

Seeing the tail rotor of the crashed helicopter was interesting to me. What was the purpose of the big round disc? Is that supposed to provide stealth?

Don't know the specifics on the helecopters, but supposedly they were complete steath. Not seen on radar and nobody knew until they were right overhead that they were there.

It serves two functions. One is radar deflection and two, it deflects rotor sounds directly below the chopper, reducing the Doppler effect. In essence it allows the sound to be muffled as if it is a long way away, unless you are directly below it. And then...just ask bin Ladin....oh wait WE CAN'T!
