Anyone using dyna beads in their tri glide tires? If so, how many ounces in the rear tires? Are the beads the same size as the ones used in the front tire? I'm getting chrome rims and don't want the balancing weights on the rims.

Thanks for the feedback.

I haven't used these yet but was thinking of going to them. DK Customs has the Dyna Beads looks like the front/rear beads are all the same. Ride Safe!

Yes, I'm using the beads, and so far "although" I'm not an expert on tires, or how they should ride, I'm happy with the beads! Again, I don't know how the trike rode without the beads, So actually, what I'm trying to tell you here means nothing.....Sorry! :p:p

You wanted my 2 cents, and that's what you got, (2 cents worth of useless crap) lol!:confused::confused: [I'm bad/sorry]

You could also use Ride-On....It balance and seals punctures...And wheel weights aren't needed..

Don't be so hard on yourself. Do you remember how many ounces you put in each rear tire?

Been using them front and rear on my TG's, close to 100k miles. They work very well at making for a smooth ride.

Here a LINK for a kit made for Trikes. (all the same size. We also use them same size in Mary's truck tires...she got over 85K miles out of her last set of tires)

2 oz. in the front, and 3 oz. in each of the rear tires.

I have used in 2 bikes & now in the Tri. Work great. Got them on ebay . There is a chart on beads web site, that gives the right amount for all vehicles.

A point to remember. The instructions that came with the beads said that if you don't have the special valve cores designed for bead balancing make sure the valves are in the 6 o'clock position before checking pressure. Hit them first with a shot of air to blow out any beads that are in the valve stem and then check pressure. Otherwise a bead could jam the valve core and cause a leak. The special valve cores have filters that are designed to prevent that from happening.

I thought I read somewhere that tire mfg's don't approve of them. I have a Centramatic balancer on my front wheel. Too much of a hassel for me using the goo or the beads.

I have chrome wheels and the chrome weights don't bother me at all.

I put them in my rear tires when I put on the new ones at 55,000 miles. Had the balance checked and the computer at the tire shop said no wheel weights needed. I put 4oz in each rear tire and have the filtered valve cores. I also run nitrogen instead of air, just my experience. Just got back from a 2,800 mile ride and no issues at all.
