Another throttle cable question.

I am running dual Solex carbs on my 1641 with a foot throttle only. I have added a Harley hand throttle tied in to the cable at the foot pedal and it is only good for holding speed. It pulls too hard and too far for using through the gears. Does anyone have any ideas if it is just too much for a cable to pull both carbs, or if there is another way?? Also how do I add a photo to my title here?
Thanks, Gospicker

I have been hand twisting duel webers for quite some time now.

So yes it can be done. Have to get the ratio on the linkage right and use a lighter spring than you would with your foot.

Mine is down right now, waiting on money to be spent.

Not too sure. I took it as converting to hand from foot.
The amount of ratio and spring to get the hand to work would make for a very light foot pedal. Might could get a just somewhat ok compromise set up for both. But i would not go both myself.

I think he means adding a picture to his name/title on the website.

Yes, guys, That is what I mean. A forum pic of the trike by my name???

That looks good, but my cable is 12 feet long to a rear engine VW. I have it set up for both hand and foot right now, but the hand is only good for holding speed. No good for going through the gears.

When you are signed in go to the top right and click settings. You will see a place on the left to set your profile picture. To make sure everyone is thinking the same thing, you want to use both a foot and a hand throttle?
