Turned my ignition switch one this morning and my 2009 TG stared right up........ all on it's own! Did it several times in a row too. Finally came unstuck so I rode her the 1 mile to Interstate Junction and dropped her off. Starter kicked in as I was riding into the business. Also did the self start for Dave the owner of IJMI. Lucky to have a great Indy shop so close to me. He services several TG's and mine is the first one for this issue. He should have it fixed in the next day or so.

guess red is a unlucky color!but seems like you were lucky not to damage the starter, . but your would have to take it apart to see.

Welcome to the club, mine went last year with the same symptoms as yours. My dad has had his take a dump 3 times, each time they replaced the start button. The last time they replaced the start button and I replaced the relay just in case.

Welcome to the club. I'm sure you didn't want to join but had no choice. I'll be interested what your indy finds.

Problem returned this morning. Ordered a starter switch, even though tests lead towards faulty relay.
