Hello all. Never thought I would be here but after many years of riding (both me and my wife) we have decided to try the Trike route. After she fell and shattered her knee it was never quite right again even after surgery so she lost her confidence in riding. So we traded in our bikes and came home with this 2012 Tri-Glide. It even has about $1,000 worth of trim accessories on it. Now a new chapter starts in our riding adventures and we are looking forward to some long trips on it. Question: has anyone turned a trike so aggressively that they flipped it? Just not sure what the cornering limits are on these things. 002.JPG Here it is. I'm sure I'll have more questions as I get more time on it.

Welcome from Southeastern Illinois. Don't know about flippin one, I went into a tight curve to the right so hard that I squealed the front tire. Kind of gives you the Willies. I have been more carefull since.

I think you and the wife are really going to enjoy your time together on your trike. Welcome aboard our site,Bob.

I've slid all three tires at the same time, without lifting a wheel,so as you can guess the limits are pretty high. They corner so well that they inspire confidence in most riders.

The longer you ride that beauty the more you will trust it - I suspect it'll do everything you want and more in a pinch. Enjoy!

Nice trike. Welcome to the group. They are very hard to tip. I have hit a hairpin hard enough to make the tip relay shut the motor down and did not tip the trike over. I'm sure it can be done but it would take just the right conditions.

Hello and from the U.P. of Michigan welcome to the website. The trikes have very good cornering, especially with wide rear tires.I have been able to keep up with other bikes on some very sharp curves. And in the many miles of riding, I have never came close to bringing a tire off the ground. They are nothing like the old laugh in guy that rolled up and fell over!!

Tuff to flip

I have come close so close my bride beat the daylights out of my back when things settled down. :AGGHH: She did not see any humor in the really fast curve. ThumbUp Looking back I'm not even sure I lifted a wheel. but sure was fun :D ride safely fearless

P.S. Welcome to our world you will not look back in a very short time when you get the n\hang of these three wheel wonders.

I guess you can flip any vehicle if you try hard enough!... Just don't try and you'll be alright... They handle better than you think.. I put over 65 thousand miles on trike's, Scared myself a few times.. A week or two ago i came into a 20mph curve way too hot.. Half way though i gassed it hard and pulled out without too much drama.. It's a road i drive down at least 20 times a week, That day i just was asleep at the switch..... :gah:

Welcome to the forums Bob, just my opinion but it would take a really, really, bad mistake to lift a wheel on the trike. We've only been riding ours about a year and sometimes I get fairly aggressive but no problems at all. Take your time and get familiar with it's handling, I'm sure you will get comfortable as time goes on.
