Another handlebar thread

Had decided on changing my tri glide handlebars to the Khrome Werks 2+2 narrow sweepers to give me a little more reach to the bars. Problem is that I have been looking for about 2 months and cannot find any retailer that has any for sale. Does anyone have any other suggestions for a replacement set that might work? Am 5’8” and would like to be a little closer and a little higher without changing the cables. Thinking maybe the Harley tallboy bars?

I like the Harley Reach bars... I have them on my '17, and had them on my '14 before that. The description is "This handlebar is designed to bring the controls 2 inches closer to the rider for increased comfort."

No changing of cables needed, and when I had the dealer install them when I bought the bike, they ran the cables inside the bars... plus they are satin black! Checked all the boxes for me.

BUT - they are listed as Not In Stock. Maybe you could find a dealer that has some... used to be pretty popular.

Two thoughts:

1. Really figure out, for sure, what handlebars will be best for you. We have a written Report on How to do that at this LINK, and there is a video version of the written report below.

2. Unfortunately we have not seen the worst of the supply chain crisis yet. As a manufacturer we purchase 10's of thousands of dollars a month of raw metal, fasteners, and some finished goods. Many companies have gone out of business, others are crippled from not being able to hire as many people as they need, along with a plethora of other "new" challenges. The end result is that the life we have grown accustomed to...being able to get what we want, when we want...this is a thing that is getting worse, not better.

Fortunately, on the handlebars, you can figure out exactly what is ideal for you and make it happen without having to depend on a company being able to get what they need to build them and have them in stock.

Thanks Kevin for the video link. Just retired from the RV industry, and we were looking at a 6 month backlog for parts from most manufacturers.

Appreciate all of DK’s hard work on parts design and knowledge for our trikes.

Drag Specialties say they will have stock on June 11. Here is their part number along with Khrome Werks:

Any Harley dealer can order from Drag. Also found a listing on eBay for them.

I installed these on my 2020 TG and find them a huge improvement over stock. Good luck in whatever you ultimately decide on.

I have the Harley Reach bars on mine. The dealer installed them and they required no extensions of any kind. Worked wonders for getting rid of my shoulder pain when riding....

I am 5-8 and i have the Khromewerks 2plus2 widesweepers on my and i love them as a matter of fact 5 of my buddies have bought them also. Got them off amazon for $129

I found mine out on the Walmart website for $88 and free shipping. I do like them. Wished I had changed them out when the trike was new.
