I have them on my wife's trike. Our stock mufflers have the catalysts, and I want to keep them around just in case; so when I bought the pair from American Customs, I paid and forfeited the core charge. They have a nice deep, but not obnoxious tone with the welded-in baffle. I purchased the optional baffles, but never installed them. These are softail mufflers and I believe the touring mufflers have two optional baffles in addition to the one they weld in.
