Americade?

A good friend of mine called me entirely too early this morning asking if I could look up information for him (he is going to Americade and doesn't do technology). He went up there to test ride different trikes since he's decided it's time to go to 3 wheels (GL1800).

Now for my question, on the Americade website, they only show hannigan, motor trike, can am, slingshot, & thoroughbred (found CSC had posted on FB they are there, but not on the Americade website.

I can't find Roadsmith & Champion anywhere as attending (at least that I've been able to find). Does anyone know if they are at Americade this year, and if so, where they're set up? He was hoping to ride ALL of them & me being the good friend (schmuck) that I am have gotten sucked into way too much digging and thought this would be a lot easier!:Trike1:

Roadsmith Trikes

I don't know about Champion but Roadsmith is definitely not coming this year. CSC is located a few miles south on Rt.9 at The Leather Outlet. When I inquired with Roadsmith this was their reply.

" Hi Bob, no we will not be at Americade this year. We have attended the show for many years, and made the decision to look at other shows to shake it up a little. Based on the number of reactions we are getting from people, we may have made a poor decision in not going. "

Well, that's somewhat disappointing. Just hung up with Ron & he was hoping to demo a Roadsmith trike and the backwards trike (I said it wrong originally, the backwards trike is hannigan).

Said he rode the one that Motor Trike has yesterday and it was a blast to ride, but he wanted something other than the can am to compare it to.

Roadsmith

After riding a GL1500 with a solid axle CSC Kit for several years I took a demo ride on a Roadsmith last year at Americade. If they had skipped the show last year I probably would be riding my Gl1800 with a CSC KIT. I based my decision to convert my GL1800 with Roadsmith HTS Kit after taking my demo ride. I wasn't aware Roadsmith made a backwards trike. I did look at a Hannigan backwards trike at Tour Expo yesterday.

Hotrod,

You're right, he and I are wrong.. It's not Roadsmith that makes the backwards thing, it's Hannigan! I must not have had enough coffee today (or maybe my wife beat me about the head while I was sleeping last night).

I called him and told him I screwed up.. He's gonna track down Hannigan and see about getting a ride on their also.

Thanks for setting me straight!

I found CSC by chance on the way out of town after looking for them for days... they are at the Teepee trinket shop.

Apparently, the Americade fees got steep which is probably why Roadsmith and others are backing out.
