What do you guys use to clean your wheels with. Most tire & wheel cleaners on the shelf in Auto Parts Stores caution using it on motorcycle wheels. I'm loosing ground with plain soap and water.

Bar keepers Friend.... It's sold in the detergent/laundry aisle of most super markets...ThumbUp

Zepher Z-40

Pilot truck stops Zepher Z-40 polish a complete series of products removed stains on my 5 year old wheels that make them look like new leaves a protective film. fearless

I don't have any aluminum to clean so I don't have anything. I bought H-D Anarchary chrome wheels for the summer and switch over to my OEM wheels for riding in the winter. I don't care how those look because of all the salt.

Back in the day I use to use Mothers Mag and Aluminum polish. ThumbUp

I will never have uncoated aluminum again.....ever!! :AGGHH:

I have used Happich Semi Chrome for longer then I care to think about. I also prefer Bon Ami to Bar Keepers Friend because it has no abrasives in it. Same general area in the store.

Hot rims Aluminium wheel cleaner.

There are 3 types, so pick the right one.
the blue bottle is for powder coated wheels and aluminium wheels. This stuff works fast and easy to use.
I spray the wheel then rub with a microfiber clothe to cut the thick stuff off, it no build up spray and rinse.
This stuff works really well.

Want them to look new, after cleaning and dry use pig spit. They will like new.

Daily cleaning ... Armour-all windshield cleaner without ammonia. Wipe off. Hot water rinse. Dry.

Tough stuff .... Happich Semi-chrome polish or Zephyr 40 polish.

13K and still look like new.

Not hard at all

If you keep wheels clean it is not a problem with Zepher 40 just don't let them go until it becomes a real chore ya kno. I cleaned up mine after trying several products Z-40 removed stain shadows the others could not. :Shrug:avatar.jpg fearless

According to the site the Z 40 is for chrome as where pro-50 eliminator is a cleaner, In most cases you can not use a cleaner that is designed for chrome should not be used on powered coated parts. Even with raw aluminium can be damaged. It may take time for the damage to show but it will in time.
A LONG TIME COMING, BUT HERE IT IS – a safe, non abrasive, non corrosive descaler that loves to dissolve calcium, carbon, water spots, and removes oxidation with no damage to applied surface. PRO 50 ELIMINATOR easily removes stubborn water and mineral deposits from Gelcoat, Aluminum, Stainless Steel, Glass, Chrome, and Fiberglass with no scrubbing.
