Anyone tried out these inflatible seat cushions? How do they hold up and keep from leaking air? I met a guy who has one and he swears that it helps his bad back. He also said that they sell for a lot less at medical supply stores. I've been looking for one at the med. supply stores but the sell them for almost MSRP of $150.00 he told me that he paid $50.00 for his but did not remember where he bought it online. I would like to try one for what he paid but not $150. thank you for any info. curley

Both my partner and I have air hawks for our trikes and really love them. We bought ours on Ebay but cannot remember how much we paid. I think they were under $100 each. See if you can borrow one and go for a long ride before you buy.

I've had one for several years and many thousand miles. A great product even if you have to pay MSRP. Like several others I got mine off e-Bay and paid around $80. I've seen them on other forums (used) for $40-50.

The key to their use is just enough air to keep your butt off the seat.

I agree with not putting too much air in them - else they get hard. Mine has never leaked. It's a lot more comfortable than the seat on my 900 vulcan. Plus, I don't even have mine tied down - it stays right there and doesn't slip.

Does anyone recommend the "R" style - the one with the extra cutout area in the front and the center for the extra 'men's' comfort?

I don't use the Airhawk but my wife uses hers in the passenger seat and will not ride without it. Had it since 2005, she has a bad back and swears by the Airhawk. Ours has not leaked. Adjust the amount of air to fit yourself.
