Adding air bags to motor trike

I have a 1991Goldwing motor trike. It had progressive 412 (discontinued)air shocks that were frozen up.

Replaced air with coil over progressive 4223c. This works somewhat but would like to add air bags and run shocks on a lower setting. I have on board compressor, air lines, and upper brackets for air bags. I have no lower brackets. Looking for info on brackets, pictures, dimensions, anything. I have contacted motor trike for other issues without much luck. Most time referred to dealer. Local dealer is Harley shop. I get no response from them, probably because Harley has their own Tri Glides now. Anything info would be better than designing my own from scratch.

Thanks.

I have a 2006 Motortrike, and the airbag mounts couldnt be simpler - hole in a flat plate. bent at the edges, then fishmouthed to fit the axle tube. Not even a 'keyed' or indexed alignment to the bag, the hole was 1/2" and the bolt 5/16"

The axle is shown upside down, the brackets are pointing to the left, one has the vise-grip attached.

Air bag mounts are available also from mini truck / car enthusiasts that 'bag' their vehicles.

Air Bag Installation

I have a 1992 GL 1500 MotorTrike with air bags.........do you still need information on installation?...........I can provide pictures

yes, too much information is sometimes good. a couple of dimensions for that lower mounting bracket. I believe I can make them out of C channel. There is also another thread about part #s and suppliers for air bags that I think will help. thanks in advance

I had a 2006 Motortrike which had a leaking airbag system. By using the search feature on this forum I found great information which enabled me to change out the entire system. I converted to a more modern air bags, commercial air fittings and lines and a better safer ride. Good luck with your project.
