ABS---Does it work?

Well, I have read the forums a few times, test drove a few different trike kits and have narrowed my choice to a CSC. But I have a question about the ABS kits. Does anyone have a CSC with the ABS intergration? Does it work for you?

Not sure if your asking specifically about that CSC ABS or ABS in general? I've only test ridden one bike with ABS, a BMW RS I believe. I couldn't believe how great the ABS worked. Couldn't get the thing to squirm no matter what I'd do. Even rode it in the rain and put the binders on full force and it just dead stopped straight as an arrow without even a wiggle from the rear end. I can't see how it wouldn't work on a trike.....

The reason I bought a CSC was because they integrated ABS into their conversion.
At the time, most other Trike manufacturers disabled the Honda ABS. I bought an ABS
Goldwing new in '07 and had it converted by the CSC factory in Virginia. I never rode
the Goldwing as a bike.
The Trike stops in all conditions with no wheel lock-up.

Blue: All I can say is that I'd give a whole lot to have ABS on my 03 GL CSC which I bought used. Unfortunately the trike came without it:Shrug: After many years on a Yamaha FJR 1300 with ABS, man do I miss it:AGGHH: ABS is the only way to go..IMHO

I have a 2010 CSC kit done by the factory on my 2008 ABS wing, I wouldnt PILOT a trike ro ride a bike without an ABS system, the CSC conversion does keep the ABS and the linked brake systems of the Wing, one of the many reason I chose them,, I had to do and emergency SLAM ON THE BRAKES AT 70+ FOR A DEER back in november, stopped on a dime got .09c change AND NO LOCK UP, HIT BOTH FOOT AND HAND BRAKES AT THE SAME TIME AS IT WAS A NEAR A miss as I ever want to experience again,,,,ABS IS A LIFE SAVER OPTION!epper:

I had the first real scare on my 08 goldwing about 2 weeks ago when a lady pulled in front of me and stopped. Fortunately my wing has ABS and it worked flawlessly. That is why I asked about ABS on a trike. I really appreciate the replies and it is good to know the $150 is worth it. I can't wait to start rollin........

anything can be done with time and money, but it would be cheaper to buy a wing with ABS and kit it.

ABS kept our 2008 GW1800 CSC from going over the side of an curvy exit with a severe dropoff last year when an exit came up real fast. John says that was the only thing that kept us from going down about 50 feet into a meadow - headfirst! (I said some very bad words - a lot of 'em)

Unfortunately I know enough abt bikes but not enough to refute that. Frankly, would love to add it to my 03 GL. It's my pet & only peeve with my CSC trike.

Thats the point I was making. You would almost need to rebuild the entire electrical system and brake system. I expect if you purchased a doner wrecked bike the swap could be done. I do not think it would be worth it when compared to sell what you have and buy one with what you want.

Well, Friday I will be driving to Sumter to order my CSC kit WITH ABS. I appreciate the input I received from everyone. I can't wait to get it triked and on the road.

does anyone have the fully adjustable shock on the csc and how well does it work?
