Abc's of touring signs

I am going to Rolling Thunder next month and on the way home I'm going to ride the Skyline drive/Blue Ridge Parkway/Cherohala Skyway - then to Nashville to Kentucky - Indiana - Home.
On this trip I'm going to be taking pictures for Harleys ABC of Touring Contest. I did it the last 2 years and had a ball traveling on back roads I'd never think of riding on. No super slabs.

Long story short, I'm trying to locate roadside signs for G. Washington, Jefferson, Pisgah, Nantahala, Mononahela, Cherokee and Shawnee National Forests Similar to attached photos. I have tried the Google street view "little guy" but have been unable to find any. I know they're there so I'm hoping that some Trike Talk members in those areas know where I can find these signs - as close to the parkway as possible. I don't have the time to go too far off the beaten path (the parkway). The signs must say the name of the forest and NATIONAL PARK.
I pretty much know where all the county signs are but these forest signs are alluding me.

Go to the National Parks web site and pull up each park, you may find what you're looking for.

Thanks Lakeman, I tried that, but they don't show the actual locations of the signs.
I assumed there would be one at each entrance to the forest, but I used Google street view (great feature) and couldn't see any. I remember last year in the Shawnee Nat. Forest, I was half way through it before I finally found a sign.

Gary, Ron and I just rode over Cherohala Skyway and for sure a sign at the NC/TN line. It does have National Forest on it and you would be able to get a pic. We will for sure be up there again and I try to remember to get a pic of it. Will also keep an eye out for the signs. We ride that area all the time. It's really funny how you just don't notice some of the things along the way such as that. LOL

If you look at a paper map of the area you are riding thru it will show you the boundries of each National Forest or Park.At the border of each one on the highway that enters it there will be a sign such as you picture both entering and leaving.Those signs will be on every road that runs thru a forest or park.Parks of course have the toll booth for you to pay your entry fee and signs are there also.At least that is they way it is here in the west.I hope that helps you

Pegasus, I wish that were the case - it should be that way. I have traveled for miles before seeing some of the signs. That's what is so great about Google street view - you can actually ride the roads leading into the parks/forests looking for signs. So far I'm batting 50/50.

At least 98% of county signs are posted at their borders. That helps alot. I use to have to find county sheriffs offices - which are usually located back in the woods someplace - which isn't a bad thing.
