a question I probaly should not ask

First, let me make it clear that I have never used illegal drugs, nor ever smoked marijuana. Having had to deal with a hypocondirac (maybe I spelled that right) mother put me off most pills. I have to be forced. But seven years ago I suffered an injury resulting in pain that has never stopped in the entire time since, and it's getting worse. In the past week I've been pretty much useless for four days dealing. I stopped counting supposed 'medical professionals' I have seen at 30, two surgeries, three rounds of shots, every opioid (when I'm desperate) known to man (stopped short when fentanyl was prescribed). They really don't help anyway, just make it so you don't care that you're hurting. OTC meds have resulted in at least two stays in the hospital for bleeding stomach. Anyway - wife has a friend that claims marijuana would help with the pain. Anyone have a similar situation and have you tried MJ? Does it work? Wife bought me some of the CBD stuff and I have used some, but really have no opinion of the effectiveness.

Depending on your Dr's and your views on it, it might help to ease your overall anxiety if nothing else.

Too many claims nowadays that m/j helps cure everything from menstrual cramps to Alzheimers disease, to be believed.

Tried it in my youth and actually inhaled it and liked it. But as life progresses, jobs and more importantly to me now, the VA medical folks look down on its use, so it's no longer a part of my medical or recreational life.:Shrug:

In my opinion, you should work the problem.

There are numerous doctors in the Dallas area. Find 1 that can help you.

Pain drugs, any drugs wont fix the problem, they mask/hide it.

No, it is not legal here. Even the CBD was only very recently allowed. Plus, I'm a licensed firearm carrier and wouldn't want anything to prohibit that (not that I would be stupid enough to smoke some dope, then take off from home carrying a firearm under the influence anyway. Even alcohol outside the home - the gun gets removed and locked away).

Not sure how aggressively Texas is going after medical card holders that own firearms, but the Feds could also demand removal of all firearms from your possession if you get a medical use card.

Never admit its use, even if only "experimental", and you'll keep your guns...

Well. That ends that thought. I'm old, beat up, broken down, and look like a soft target. Not giving up my guns, no matter what.
