Checking to see if anyone on the forum plans on attending bike week this year . I'm looking forward to a almost end of winter break . see you at froggys .

Will be there the 4th thru the 9th . no set schedule , too much to do and see in that short time . last time there was week before bike week , 2.00 beers at froggys , hope that hasn't changed . more money for oysters .*

This is my first Bikeweek, about time I went I am nearly a native Floridian. I have a short list of things I really want to do(hit Corbin, check out rinehardts stuff) I am staying at the Beach Hilton (wife travels for work, got the room only on her point wooo) so I figure I will be on Main a lot less than 1/2 mile from Froggys so I can stumble home if needed.

We will be neighbors . we are are staying at the Wyndham ocean walk just up the beach . we will definitely have to get together for some fun . looking forward to it , probably more than you as it is 16 above as I write this response , big snowstorm yesterday. See you there .

What kind of costs are you finding for hotel rooms ? I've been looking and as usual they are raising the cost for the event. Motel 8 is like $179 per night.

I booked our 3 bedroom condo last year for about 3,200.00 . I'm sure it would be much more expensive this close to rally time . I'm sure it's like during sturgis , rooms that normally rent for a hundred go up to over three hundred during an event like this .

It wouldn't be quite so bad if it weren't the 75 Anniversary so this year is out for Sherry and me. We might check out Octoberfest, though. I've been to Bike Week a bunch but never to Octoberfest. How's the weather there in October?

Usually Ok, but could be warmer, but then we have had some years where it was COLD. October is generally a good month though.

Last time we were at Bike Week was 10 or 11 years ago...on 2 wheels-

Stayed at the Cabbage Patch...a lot less expensive. :)

Have thought about going this year...it's interesting once there, but it is a long, somewhat boring, road between here and there. Might still go...We'll see. If we do, we'd stay at the Cabbage Patch again, but off the ground this time! ThumbUp

I have attended bike week 4 times . I have not been to the cabbage patch yet . that will change this year , it is high on my priority list . I've heard it's a good time , looking forward to the Cole slaw wrestling . as I said before there are so many things to do and see . another good reason to go to bike week again and again . i hope you do go this year Kevin , I feel as if I owe you a refreshment for *the advise you have given me so far on my freewheeler project . I do hope you find time to go and take me up on my offer of a cold drink of your choosing . hard to believe that only 2 people from this forum are planning on attending the 75 th anniversary of bike week . hope to see you there .

I've been to Bike Week probably 15 times. The last three times,Sherry went with me,we took our Boss Hoss, and the weather sucked.
If we do decide to go next month,it will probably be a last minute decision.

All a matter of timing.

I really would like to go...just not sure I can yet.

Are you going to be at the Trike Talk Rally in Maggie Valley....that is solid in our schedule.

Look up spotnick's cabbage patch on a Google search .

it will show their website , has contact info .

As I'm new to the forum and geography was not one of my best subjects in school , where is Maggie valley located ??

It's in the Smokey Mountains of NC. About 45 minutes from Ashville NC. Very near the Cherokee Indian Reservation (and Harrah's Casino).

Daytona from Tampa

We're leaving on Friday morning. Returning to Tampa, Fl on Sunday. This will be our fist trip to Daytona, and our furthest trip anywhere for that matter. New TriGlide owners and enjoying every ride.

It's good to hear that people from this forum are planning on attending . we should try to pick a day to get together at froggys for a meet , drink , and greet . most any day works for me , but plan on Monday afternoon and evening Fer sure .
