2016 Clutch Question

I have a 2016 Tri-Glide and was having a problem with the clutch slipping. I took it in and they ordered the parts. They pulled things off to put in the new Barnett friction plates and an AIM slider clutch. I got a call from them and they said they had to reorder some parts because it has a 2017 clutch set up. Has anyone ever come across this or for that matter has anyone ever heard of something like this.

If your bike was made late in the 2016 model run its possible it has a 2017 clutch parts.
