2015 Freewheeler Park Brake Doesn't Hold

don't hold any more I can roll it, you think it just needs adjusting or could it be something wrong with rear break pads. 34.000 miles on it. (2015 FLRT freewheeler). (foot pad goes all way down, always had).

I think you are in the right track as usually it's just an adjustment. I have very limited Harley technical knowledge but I know someone more knowledgeable should be along shortly.

Adjusting Parking Brake

My parking brake isn't holding the bike anymore. I got the service manual out and unloosened the nut holding the hex rod. When I turn the rod it rotates the round tube the cable runs through. Do I need to visegrip that down to make adjustments?

On my 17 Tri Glide there is an adjustment under the floorboard on the cable, works like the adjustment on a clutch cable.

i would guess adjustment.. have over 30k on my 20 & brake holds fine brake pads are original. my indy just went over my trike in prep for this summer riding. pads still look great

Never became partial to our '12 Tglide parking brake, always just preferred leaving it in 1st gear.

I haven't used the parking brake for 3-4 years now on my 17 TG, I just leave it in first gear if I am on an incline.
Leave it in Neutral when it is on flat at the house or parking at work.

I found that if you adjusted them as the book says they would have a slight drag and would wear the pads a little quicker.
