:xzqxz:,,,I looked after I made that statement thinking I was going to see a Valkyrie but instead I see this version ,,,,TO EACH HIS OWN ,,,,,not for me , just want to retract my earlier statement if I may ,,,:xzqxz::xzqxz:

The original Valk was a very different bike than the GL1500 Wing on which it was based. This Valk just seems to be a stripped down FB6 with some relatively minor body modifications, and the FB6 looks to be a stripped down GL1800. For an 1800 based bike that is different, look to the Rune.
Some pics below comparison - a GL1500 Wing, the 1500 Valkyrie, A gl1800 Wing, FB6 and the new Valk. (Only allowed 5 pics, couldn't get the Rune in there)

Definitely NOT anything "back".
This is more a reincarnation of the Rune than the Valkyrie.
I do like it better than the F6B. The looks anyways as that's the only REAL diff between this, that, and the GL18. Looks are subjective. Kinda in keeping with the Saber, Interstate, and Stateline versions of the 1300's marketing. Now you have three versions of the 1800 same as the 1300.
I like the options and versatility of a time proven and desired powertrain foundation with different "shells" and styles.
I'm a Fan of this. But again, it AIN'T no Valkyrie. Guess they wanted the name recognition of the Valk over the Rune for obvious reasons. It should play and sell to the large Cruiser segment well. Have to sit on one to be sure but the ergonomics of sitting and control look quite different. Doesn't take much feet-hands-butt triangle change to equate to an entirely different ride, feel, and operational control. Will have to demo one of these. Intrigued for sure. Prospective Owner,,, Maybe.

Besides, they already got you Wingers.... They want to capture a new demographic and income source not change one they already, for the most part, own.
This isn't for "You People" (Yes,,, YOU People :D) in the first place.

Original Valkyrie was a 6 carb motor. Much more responsive and more ponies. The 1500 wing is a single 2 barrel.
The Rune was a basic Wing motor but modified and the exhaust was its down fall. Many did not like the idea it could not be modified.

I agree with you Slick. My brother Inlaw was going to go for one since he had a 2 wheel one before for a long time and loved the bike. Well, He was going to buy the new one and trike it but after looking at it, well, He is going to stay with his 1800 Honda Interstate.:gah:

Hello everyone it's Me again!!!

I went to two different Honda Dealers and had the most fun that I have had in a long time. I asked the first one at the service counter if he could find me an air filter for a 2014 F6C. He got looking real hard in his books and computer files and came back and said that they "did not have one in stock, BUT we can order ya' one". The other guy at the counter and I are good friends and he informed him--"it ain't been manufactured yet." He and I told him what the new F6C was to be and what it looked like. They were quite excited at the thought of a "NEW" Valk.

The second dealer helped me on my 99 Valkyrie trike when it was having the oil changed, and I proceeded to ask the lead salesman about the upcoming bikes and he wanted me to come over to the showroom. They had only one 2012 Goldwing three 2013 F6B and one 2013 Goldwing in stock. He said, Sit on the Goldwings first and then the F6B bikes. I was impressed with the features of all and then he asked about what the F6C might have to offer. I could not answer as I am not sure but he is like me, time will tell of options for all three and which one would fit into my garage. HURRY SPRING-------IT IS SO HARD TO WAIT !!!!!

Lots of differences in the New Valky and the Gold Wing and F6B...even the Fork is longer, etc. ....no use typing everything, since the SPECS are available now. Personally, I love the way the F6B looks...Best Looking Gold Wing to date (just my personal opinion, not necessarily Everyone's...;) )..."but", I just find the New Valky UGLY....not slightly, but "VERY"...again, just my personal opnion. That being said though, I have a feeling that given the new Specs and Weight (lack off), I might enjoy "flicking it briskly" on a twisty back road more than any 'Wing to date...Looking forward to my First Test Ride.....ThumbUp
