2008 honda goldwing 1500 stec

Hello and welcome to the forum, glad to have you with us. Was it converted to a trike in 2008? Can you post a pic of the trike.

There should be a vin plate on the frame.

The VIN is located on the right side of the frame near the steering head on the safety certification label.

welcome aboard trike lady has hit it on the head. where the trike was originally registered probably issued a custom build or something like that as the type vehicle. Should not hurt it's value at all.

Hello Sam! Always nice to welcome another Texan to TrikeTalk. Glad you found us.

Very nice trike. The Wing is most likely an SE model which is the top of the line for the GL1500. In the pic the engine valve covers look like they have the gold strip in the center.

Correction it’s not SE Model. SE Model has factory installed CB. Someone did a good job adding SE Paint Scheme. Does it have reverse?

Hello have another question.Having trouble getting the trunk open previous owner said he removed the cover and bar to spray the mech.with penetrating oil, replaced the cover and could not get the trunk open after that.I have tried the coat hanger trick the bar doesn't want to move .Any suggestions

By chance does they key to open the trunk turn to the left? I was told when I had my 1500 that if the trunk latch failed to try that.

A 🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺 pac , :mob: , and a lot of patience !

There are 3 latches under the tour box. Left is to open left saddlebag. Right is to open right saddlebag. Center latch opens the tour box. When triked usually the left latch is used to open the trunk on the trike. If neither tour box or trunk on trike will open linkage or keyed lock on tour box is malfunctioning.
