I am wondering what if anything they have done with the rear suspension on the new trikes..??? They list them as independent suspension are they true independent or still a straight axle ???? I have seen a few of the older I.E 09 - 10 models and the axles seem very small to me,just looking for input here maybe someone has looked this over ....

IRS indicates 2 rear straight axles acting independently as far as the suspension goes.
It is not one axle extending across the width of the wheels

Also, IMHO, straight axle models corner flatter(less lean to the outside). IRS provides a smoother ride especially for the passenger if you have one of the brands that extends the wheel base(moves the rear wheel further rearward) This opinion is based on me not changing shock settings on my Hannigan to ride the "twisties"! I have it set for the smoothest ride for myself and my wife riding 2 up 99% of the time.
