My radio is stuck on one station, the only thing that will work on the handle bar is the mute button. On the radio the only thing that works is the volume knob, I am lost. 2003

Howard it sounds to me like one of the multi pin on radio connectors is loose. They can be a bugger to get on/off. If the connectors do not lock on they will vibrate loose in time.

Unfortunately, to test my theory you will have to take the top shelter (top of fairing) loose so you can reach the connectors to ensure they are locked in place. Short of the connector thing I'd suspect the radio itself. :xszpv::xszpv:

Thanks, I just disconnected the batt. for 5 min. and now it won't turn on at all, is there something i should do now?

I'd still start with checking the two large connectors at the front of the radio. Do you have access to a service manual? If not shoot me an email ( goldrush06@suddenlink.net) .

I was just looking at the service manual for the early year GL1800s. There is a chance you could remove the meter panel and see the two connectors on the front of the audio unit. Don't know if you could get to them and reconnect if loose but maybe at least verify they are loose or not. That meter panel has to come off before the top shelter anyway so it's a good place to take a peek. If you can't see/feel the audio unit connectors nothing is lost at that point. :xszpv::xszpv:

Check Fuses.... or in my case a pesky mouse chewed wires up..... pesky mouse is no more, wires repaired.....
