18 to 20 Fork difference question.

Hello all, does anyone know what changed from 2018 to 2020 in the tri-glide front forks. the part numbers for the fork pipe, spring, oil lock piece all have different pt#.

The reason I am asking is that I am going from a 2018 freewheeler which had the same forks and the 2018 tri glide. to a 2020 tri glide. basically I was going to just swap the forks from the freewheeler to the tri glide since I have a fat tire kit on the freewheeler. I am assuming the spring rate is higher on the 20 would be a reason for the new part number, but cant figure out what changed in the fork pipe and oil lock piece.

thanks for any info.

I believe you will be fine using your forks, as far as fitment the of the slider's. Looking over the breakdown, basically swap the slider only using all the other internals and fork pipe's and you should be fine. They use the same rebuild it and all.

Selling the Freewheeler are you... Sold the wife's Freewheeler with the fatty, on it's journey from PA to CA to a new home.

Hey Joe, I saw yours listed not to long ago. Momma didn't want a Triglide at first, but I have slowly been turning it into a tri glide, its got a reckless fairing and j&m cb, ordered highway bar and lowers (well just canceled those) hahaha. A friend of mine is selling his 20 triglide with little to no miles on it so its coming to the house, she is not hip on the color"river rock grey and black" but more storage, and the radio, gps, cb built in out ways the color but I am stripping all the parts that will cross over before I sell the freewheeler, hopefully around the 1st of the year. The I figured the spring rate is stiffer on the new triglides, but didn't know if the "pipe" had changed for some reason with damping since it had a new part number.

Thanks
