Well just ready to take my new Trike in for the 1000 mile service. What should I expect for the money and what should I be looking at doing in addition to the trike. Seen most post say change to all synthetics. Will do that for sure. Luckily my first 1000 miles have been great with hardly any issues, mainly just the heat. Nothing I can't deal with. Only one time on a real hot day I had to sit thru 4 stop lights that didn't change and the bike died and got hot. Started right up and away I went.

Would like to beef up the exhaust some, it is very quiet. Had a couple buddies ask me if it was running. Just not used to this quiet. That has to change! lol Any recomendations for the exhaust ? Or anything else ? Any opinions welcomed. Thanks !

Just took mine in yesterday for 1K and i'm looking at $500. +. they have a 1 hr. surcharge on trikes.

You might want to consider a catless head pipe before slip ons. Will reduce felt heat a good bit and make your stock muffs louder.

I ran Syn-3 in all three holes for about a year after my 1000 mile service. I felt the drive train made more noise with the Syn-3 so went back to regular oil in the trans and primary. Got a little over 14,000 miles on her now and going to go with Redline Shockproof my next oil change. Been hearing a lot of good feedback on Redline on several Harley forums.

i get my red line shockproof gear oil ans their 20x60 motorcycle syn oil from
hrpworld.com also spectro is a excellent oil, but r/l is the only source for 20x60 syn
motorcycle oil that i know of , & the shockproof oil is pink, so you will redilly know if you have a leak in the trans shaft- to the primary.

I got a stock head pipe from a seller on e bay that had the CAT cut out. I wrapped it with header wrap and mounted with some old SE slip-ons I had, then some fuel moto slip ons. Now I am back to stock mufflers. Others too loud for us on the road. With the cat gone, stock mufflers are louder than expected and have a nice sound (to me).
