I think I may have embarrassed a Marine last night. I had gone to Village Inn to eat dinner and do a little prep for my Bible study. I sit and read after I eat and get my head in the right place.

Anyway, I was paying my check and a young Marine came in with his wife or girlfriend. I thanked him for his service and he said it was his honor to serve and put out his hand ... I don't know where this came from ... but I said, "Son, I'm afraid a hand shake just won't do it" and gave him a hug. His wife or girlfriend had tears running down her eyes ... I'm guessing pride in her man.

The poor Marine looked shocked, I leaned in and told him I was sorry for embarrassing him but I was proud he had my back. He recovered very nicely and said, "Don't worry sir, We DO have your back".

Totally made my day ... I'm not sure if he lived here or was just passing through. But, I'm glad I got to meet him.
