A friend has a 2009 gold wing, DFT conversion, 39,000 miles. Last year on a Great Lakes circle tour he started getting a vibration that continued to get worse. Feels like coming from the middle driveline area. I suspect a U-joint but a trike builder says there is an adapter in the wings rearend for the 2nd axle. Anyone have experience with these?

There has to be some kind of joint somewhere on the driveshaft as the output shaft for the motor is offset. I can't see the shaft being able to run to the rear differential without one. On the CSC trikes, there are 2 u-joints. 1 right after the output shaft and one that bolts up to the yoke on the front of the rear end. Have you physically inspected the driveshaft to see?
