It was almost impossible to find neutral on my bike; I almost always had to turn the engine off to get it in neutral. Adjusting the clutch didn't help. It was so annoying, I thought about trading it in. I read somewhere (maybe here) about the Thrasin Supply Brand Inner Shift Arm. All the reviews said it worked, so I figured I'd give it a shot, I installed it yesterday and I'm amazed. I can hit neutral every time now, I'm not sure why it works, something about being a little shorter and changing the angle, all I know for sure is it works, I was very skeptical. Still, I'm really happy with it, if you have a hard time getting neutral, I highly recommend this, if you order one, be sure to order the Inner Shift Arm. They also have an outer shift lever which is an inch shorter than stock. I accidentally ordered that at first and didn't like it. I emailed them, and they sent me a prepaid FedEx label and agreed to give me a full refund. I got it from J and P Cycles

Very nice to hear of a product to help!..

Personally I never had an issue getting into neutral, but I heard of a product from a company called “KRAUS” and they call it: “EZ SHIFT” and saw a couple videos too.. it actually bolts onto the rear OE shift arm.
Again, I never had an issue, but I always love ideas to always improve what we have.
…. So I bought one and installed it… and it is indeed much easier to get into neutral than before. So it definitely works!

I was kinda skeptical, because all it basically does is raise the rear mounting point up higher - approximately 1”.
I looked at the Thrashin inner shift arm and looks like that arm “Lowers” the front.

End result: it looks like both products is the same end result and obviously it’s all about the “angle” that helps.

Thats great info you posted and it looks nice and clean with that replacement shift arm you got, …verses the KRAUS unit that I have. And not that it’s an eye sore, but it is more noticeable. But it does indeed work well and also easier shifting into neutral than previously.

I kind of like that look, I also put a new linkage rod on mine, it seems ok, but I read that the factory ones are prone to break, the replacement seems much stronger
 
I know it’s not the same quality as a Kraus, but just ordered this Jerbor from Amazon for $22.79. There were some other ones in the $40-$60 range, but they look like machined cast pot metal. This Jerbor says it’s CNC machined from premium aluminum alloy. If it’s junk when I get it next week, will send it back. I’ve got an assortment of nice stainless button head screws that I’ll dress it up with like the Kraus.

Just mildly curious. The one time i had issues finding neutral i adjusted the clutch, per the book, and after that no problem. I had to modify a socket so i could have an allen wrench on the adjusting screw while tightening the jamb nut.
I wonder if toe shifting riders have more or less problems then heel toe shifters? Im a heel toe shifter.

Well, the $22.79 Jerbor came today from Amazon. It is really nicely machined from billet stock, anodized well, and overall a quality piece!!!

The set screw was a bit longer than I like as I want it to be flush when tightened. A quick trip to Menards took care of that with a shorter stainless one.

The 5/16-24 socket head cap screw that came with it was ok, but I preferred a stainless button head. They are really hard to find since they are fine thread, but my local specialty bolt shop had some 1” long ones that I cut down to length.

I have a hydraulic clutch in my 2020 UL and it was impossible to find neutral. The shifting rod with heim ball ends helped, the Belray oil helped a bit more, the Rekluse hydraulic clutch slave and the Baker compensator more, but this shifting arm makes it like butter now! I highly recommend it!

I took a flat bar about a 1/4 thick and about 12 inches long. Then drilled a hole in one end big enough for a t- handle allen wrench to fit thru, then welded a deep well socket on the end that had a hole drilled in the end, works great.
 
Got out today and tested my rear shift arm extension again today and I can honestly say everything works better . From finding neutral to over all shifting. The neutral is not a 100% get it every time but its a hell of a lot easier to find it.
More testing coming soon during the vacation.

I have never had trouble finding nuetral on my 2018, luck of the draw I guess, I did put a longer rear shift arm with a longer peg on mine so maybe that helped alot not sure have had it on since I got the trike. I'm glad everybody that has these helps them out, saved me some money anyway LOL

Been riding the Hocking Hills area in Ohio since Tuesday afternoon. Sunny ,rainy we have had it all. Bike shifts a lot better with the rear arm extension but its not 100 % on neutral although much better. Still crashes and bangs while shifting. Like a damn dump truck. Monday we got to Wytheville VA and the back of the dragon. Tomorrows forecast is rain all day so were hoping to get loaded for the Monday haul to VA in between the raindrops . When I get back I am going to go to shockproof in the trans and then who knows. I really get the feeling that sometimes the clutch just doesn't release all the way on some shifts.
We shall see.

Are you still happy with the results?
