Need Help Identifying Trike

Hello! Took the trike out for the first time this evening, after doing some work to it over the winter. In the interest of staying on topic, I'll post later about the work. Bought this a year ago, made a few modifications (new ape hangers, clutch pedal, new tire and bearings, etc.). Can anybody tell me whether this is a kit, or was built and sold by a company? It has IRS, so the transaxle is at least a '71 or newer. I think the engine is a 1600, but can't be sure. Frame is an 81 Honda CB750F, and front fork and wheel appear to be from a 2003 Fat Boy. Brake caliper and master cylinder are from different years (can't remember exactly). Seat is a Corbin seat, and this thing has Corbin stickers all over it. I don't know if I can contact the original owner or not.

Does anybody know who or what company built this? it is very well built, and very stable. I've been scratching my head for a year trying to figure out who built this.

Thanks,

Jim

Well I think it's one of a kind. It just doesn't look like anything I've seen factory built. That doesn't mean anything. If well built then don't worry about it. Back in the day most of these were purchased a body and the individual did the rest. And the bodies were cloned to beat the band.

If it is factory built maybe someone more experienced then me will ID it. I know a little about VW trikes but not everything.

Yeah, it probably is. I'm just impressed with the design and the build quality. I'm an engineer and a machinist, so I can appreciate the amount of work and thought it took to build it. They even included a USB port under the seat and a cigarette lighter, mounted on a piece of that engine turned metal that's on the floorboard! BTW, looking at the floorpan, I think you're right...looks like they cut out the floorboard, then trimmed it down to shape, and bent the tubing to fit.
