New Product

Just finished installing the chrome wing deflectors and center fork deflector that arrived today from Dennis. Took me 30 minutes and they look great and fit perfectly. I am very happy with the high quality of these products. Will try 'em out on a ride here in the next day or two. Will post a review. Good job Dennis!!! What else are you coming up with for our TG's?!!!

I always have a few items on the back burner but just keeping lift brackets, tour box rails and the baffles ready to ship keeps me busy for now.
I have a couple things in the design stage, just haven't had the time to make a few prototypes for testing.

My main computer is back in shop for repairs so I have not been able to update my web page. I now have in stock a very limited number of the chrome and powder coated baffle sets. Another run of the fork wing baffles are at the chrome shop now also.
So just a heads up, contrary to what my web page says at this time, new baffle sets are ready for shipping.
Thanks for interest,
Dennis Swan

Ok Dennis...Here is my review of the Baffles. Went for a 100 mile ride this afternoon. Temp was 46 degrees, 20 mph wind from the SE. Got on the freeway, took it up to 80 mph. There was zero wind coming over the fuel tank. I mean zero! No more getting blasted in the face from that location. There was an extreme change in the amount of air buffetting around me. The decrease is extremely substantial and extremely noticible. It may be my imagination, and maybe others can verify this, it seems like the bike sounded different. I presume from the change in the air bubble that you sit in. Exhuast seemed quieter and I could hear the motor functioning more clearly also. Anyone else experience that? I did notice that since the forks catch more air now, there is a little more shaking from turbulance when passing trucks and large vehicles. Nothing that concerned me though, and that may have been partly due to the strong crosswind. Also noticed my hands did not get as cold, because more wind from over the tank was hitting my hands before than I had realized. Had on very light summer gloves with no cold issues.
I am very very pleased with the baffles, and feel it is one of the best functional upgrades I have made! I highly recommend 'em and cant wait to see what else D Man comes up with for our TG's. Order a set and put 'em on!! You will not be dissapointed. I will try them out in the next coupla days without the cross wind blowing so strong. Good Job Dennis and thanks for such a quality product.

Question...Would there be any affect the passanger? Like sometimes when changing windshield the turbulence would move to the passengers area!!

Butch, I have only had the bride on for one test ride with baffle setup. She did not notice any bad effects. I run the tall and extra wide Clark windshield.
As there are 10 sets out now, maybe someone else who has been riding two up can chime in on your question.

My Sweet ridin' Buddy has not been behind me with the baffles yet. Still too cold out there for her. Seems like it should be an improvement since I already act as a wind screen for her and this can only enhance that. Supposed to be in the 50's this weekend and if it is, She will help me test it out.

I have been running the under fork baffle for about 8 months and it is a god send in the winter and helps with wing buffeting when the temperature is not the main issue. Not to mention it helps with cooling of the engine if only a small degree. The fork wings were add on a couple of months ago and I have to say they really help with the cold air on the knees. The combination removes the most of the cold air and make winter ridding a pleasure. The install of both should not take but about 30 minutes and very few tools. You may want to remove the fork wings in the summer but I think the under fork baffle would be fine in the summer. That remains to be tested but install and removal is just nothing. I think they look great also as with all of Dennis Swan's products the fit and finish are second to none. I have the powder coated version Silver Vain I think he calls it and have received compliments on the look at the Harley shop. I do have digital temp gauge and I can tell you the temp in the winter has not varied at all, the baffles address the wind above the tank. It may be cooler to remove the fork wings in the summer I don't know, but four screws in about 10 minutes max. A small price to pay for the comfort brought in the winter! Any questions I will be glade to try to answer. Thanks, Jerry

Thank you, I was just wondering if there would be any affect. I placed my order last week and should be receiving them in a couple days.

Wait a second here... isn't the point of being on a motorcycle to feel your environment? Feel the cool air when you hit those low spots or pass a body of water? Feel the cool or warm air on your skin? If not.. I may as well take the top down on My BMW?

What is it they say.. Knees in the Breeze?

Well,,,since you live in Southern California, I can see where you would think that!! Mozy up here to Idaho and we will go for a 75 mph ride when it is 35 degress, and you might sing a different tune. And you will prob sing it loudly!! Ha ha!!! It hits over 100 here in the summer, and like Helipilot sez, we can take 'em off in 15 minutes if we need some more ventilation. I will prob take mine off when it starts gettin' hot. But they are great for our winter ridin' gear additions. Surfs up Dude!!!! LOL!!!

Hey, just reading this info, product sounds great. I ride just about every day, here on the coast of SC. Morning can be cool in the lowers 30s, but my afternoon upper 60s to low 70s now. I have noticed that the 103 in hotter already verus my old 96 cu harley. Bike is still stock - pipes, air cleaner, etc. What the feeling in the 70s with this installed?
Don't want to ride and have to remove this product daily???

Hey all, I was running modified stock deflectors and a modified baffle on the red TG all last year summer and winter. I posted earlier that I did not see any "actionable" temperature increases. The deflectors stop the high speed, high frequency buffeting. I also ran both of them year round on my SE Road King. So don't worry too much about air flow during the summer. The fairing wing deflectors can put a ton of air on your chest. I have more than enough "environment" on me when I ride. How I experience "my environment" is my choice. But that's me.

Well Dennis,,,It appears you have another hit with these baffles to go along with your other Tglide stuff! I must say, after many miles in the last coupla days, these deflectors and the baffle have made me very happy with the better cold weather ridin' tempatures. Once again..good job and thank you!!! Worth every cent!!!
