Nov. 22. 58 Years Ago...........

Yep.. remember it all well.

I find it interesting that THIS year there has not been a lot of hype about it.

All month long I kept expecting to see advertisements about watching some documentary or new investigation on it but haven't seen a thing.

I haven't turned on the tv today so maybe something is on.... or maybe the media has finally let it drop - maybe due to lack of interest.

They haven't brought forth anything new to the public for some time now..that I know of.

People seem to be tied up in other interests now rather than historical incidents that shaped America.

I was in my HS history class when the announcement came over the intercom. My teacher was Dr. Maybell Chapman who I liked a lot. She was a rather frumpy old gal but got a lot of respect for her knowledge and down to earth ways. That was the first and last time I ever saw any of my teacher's weep. School was dismissed for the day..... Jim

You're right, nothing on the news feed when I looked this morning. I remember getting dismissed early from junior high that day. A day that changed this nation and probably wouldn't have happened but the weather cleared and the top came down in the Lincoln.

I was 18, working at a gas station a few blocks from our house, we stayed open for a couple of hours then closed up early, very sad time.
