(EDIT: Don't know why the photo is inverted)
I remember when Harley started putting parts on that were made in Japan. In the 70's it bothered everyone except Harley. Well here we are Chinese parts. Again Harley doesn't care what the consumer thinks. As long as people buy their products they'll keep doing it.
Honestly I do not think you can find anything mechanical in the last 15-20 years that isn't built in the US with globally sourced parts. That way companies can still say "made in the USA" but keep the costs down.

Being the Devils Advocate.......You have to be careful buying just made in America...
Once the American companies figure they have a captured audience ....They will start turning out junk ....IE...American Cars from the 50's all they way till the 80's, Or in-till the VW..And Japanese cars gave them some competition....
I don't think that Craftsman Tools are defunct. Lowe's now carry almost as many Craftsman tools as Sears did.
H-D changed to metric long ago. They had to to compete in the global market. Had to change a tire on my Cub Cadet 0 turn mower the other day. To my suprise, the axle nut is SAE ! Had to go back in the house for my other socket set.
Very few Craftsman tools are made in America. I have had to go to vintage tool sites on ebay to find Craftsman wrenches stamped Made in USA. Sometimes the seller will claim they are Made in America when the picture clearly shows made in china. Vendors are not always bright.

Like when they ship Tri-Glides to England...The bars have to be right hand drive.....
......
I checked the stamp on my ass ==== “Laid in USA “
