Coolant pump cover

Me too. On my 2018 I lost the cover while on a road trip in the UP of Michigan. Shout out to Bald Eagle H-D of Marquette, MI, who took one off a TG on the showroom floor to sell to me. It too became loose within a short time. I found a fix and it works great for me. There is a 'boss' 'tab' not sure what to call it or its purpose just to the rear of the bottom of the cover. I drilled a hole in the bottom of the cover and put a cable tie through the hole and over the boss/tab. Won't come off now!

The oil cooler cover on the Freewheelers is a piece of junk also, very poor design IMO

Thanks for that tip ultrafxr, will do that, don't really want to buy a cover and not sure what the cost but that will be a cheap fix for sure thanks again

All for now Trampas

I had my stock cover fall off 3-4 times after taking it to the dealer for service.

Fortunately each time it fell off in the yard.

Found that the problem was the tech was not taking the time to mount it back on correctly.

Started doing my services myself and if you make sure the rubber grommets are lined up and put on correctly it won't come off.

Hasn't fell off since.

I pays to pay attention to the details.

I agree with being careful to insure it is properly seated into the rubber grommets. Mine was. Even replaced the grommets but it still worked loose over time. Poor design IMO.

Works now

I bought the chrome.

It was warped, I had to squeeze it between my knees with a hair dryer then later a propane torch to get it back in shape. Move quickly if you use a torch!

Then it fit loose but finally discovered when I pulled my oem off I dislodged one of the grommets & it was missing.

Once I replaced it I got a snug fit.

You have to wrap a finger around back & ensure you feel the top of the cover protrude through the grommet ...

A good shove on each side "after the top two slip over was in place", secured it nicely.

It's now more secure than my oem imo.

I meant wrap your finger around back & ensure you feel the "tip" of the cover protrude through the grommet.
