What's your opinion for a Trike between the two?

I've been doing research but haven't found much relating to Trikes. I know what they both sound like as my uncle has Dresser Duals on his Road Glide and a buddy at work has the Power Duals on his. Sound isn't an issue. I'm looking more for performance.

I've read that you lose with DD's and gain with PD's. I think I read in an older thread that Kevin runs the PD's. Just wondering if anybody else runs either of these and what your thoughts are.

I currently have V&H Twin Slash Round Slip ons, V&H Vo2 intake and breather, DK Customs EBS w/catch can and an FP3 tuner. I'm just wanting to finish the upgrade.

Thanks for the help.

I had a set of power duals on a 2014 Tri Glide and I like them. As you probably have already heard or read the power duals make more torque and performance then the dresser duals. That's what I have heard and read also when the two are compared.

I have Power Duals with the oval trike mufflers. They work just fine. Your setup is almost identical to mine , so the Power Duals should work out well.

If you have not already done it, use the FP3 to change your throttle settings to "moderate". This really brings the trike alive.:)

I prefer the "Race" 1:1 setting....V&H says to use that with caution, but I rode cable throttles for decades, and they are 1:1......I don't see an issue with it....

So you didn't have a clearance issue with the MotorTrike Reverse? I read on an old thread there was a clearance issue because the "X" in the pipe on the PD's hit right where the reverse is.

My buddy is looking to get PD for his incoming Tri Glide project! Great to hear Power Duals are highly recommended here. We'll just finish installing the brake pads and bilstein shocks on his truck this week before we can start working on the trike.

TO DOKK:

I don't have a motor trike reverse yet. No motor trike dealers/installers close to me and can't travel due to "The 19." Having to wait for the pandemic to pass.

Papa Zook says it will fit if the Power Duals are spaced out 3/8 ".

Also does the 1:1 setting make a noticeable difference over the moderate setting?
