Steering tire mileage

I have a 2018 Honda Goldwing DCT Tour with a CSC kit. I have 7,000 miles on steering tire and it is worn out. I was wondering what kind of mileage some other guys are getting out of their steering tires.

Avon trike tire is the answer

I would suggest 36/38psi. Ran 41psi and the front suspension felt very hard.

I, like many other Trikers, use a bias-ply rear tire on the front in a reverse rotation, with no ill effects to the handling. You will also get higher mileage from the tire.

But to answer your question, 7,000 miles on a front tire is about average.

17000mi on Avon tire and it still looks like it can at least go another 10000mi

Usually get about 30,000 out the mpa or bt45. Rotation duz not seem to matter. 41# air makes all the difference.

I would say you are way short on mileage as 15,000 minimum is about average for people we ride with.

Bad tire or too low of air pressure.
