Can anyone advise if a stock seat from a 2012 GL1800 will fit a 2006 GL1800?

The 2001 thru 2017 Goldwing seats are interchangeable...... Jim

Yes. Windshields are the same too. There were few changes in Goldwings from 2001 to 2017. There were options, like heated seats, and electronics like Nav. etc. and in 2006 Honda increased the size of the radiators. But the bikes basically stayed the same for 16 years..... Jim

You may physically be able to get a 2012-2017 seat to fit on a 2001-2010 but it wont look right. They are designed differently.

Here you can see the difference. The top one is a 2017. The bottom one is a 2010. If you put a 2012-2017 on a 2001-2010, you will end up with a gap under the front.
