Is the crdeit crunch as bad as they say???? I have been told by an American friend that some guys are selling their trikes/bikes as they cannot afford to pay for their upkeep anymore. Is this the case. Over in the Uk I have not heard of anyone in this predicement. (Yet)
Is the media trying to put the fear into people?
Lets know your feelings!! How is it affecting you and any club you are a member of........

I think that at the moment, the credit crunch mostly applies to banks and other businesses. Maybe also to people applying for new loans. But as far as people who already own their stuff, I think it's the unemployment numbers, layoffs, and other job-related issues that are making it difficult for a lot of folks to make ends meet, so there may be more people selling off their toys. There do seem to be more than the usual number of listings of bikes on Craigslist, but who knows?

I AM glad that I had the money saved up for my trike--don't think I'd want to take a loan for it these days.

all news in papers are based on the reporters views, some need a realality check, they need to sell papers,if it takes to make up stories to sell they will do it.

They will have to peal my cold dead hands off the the handle bars before I give mine , it will be the LAST thing to go.

I am seeing just the opposite. Business is better now than it has been in a long time...not for some of the lower-end products and credit buyers as credit has definitely tightened. There are plenty of people who can and do pay cash as probably the majority of owners here have.

I think the price of fuel had people buying scooters and hybrid vehicles.

I have seen advertisements for bikes for sale because people have lost their jobs and can't afford the payments.

I also see more people commuting on their bikes.

So....my take, if they have bikes the ride them more, if they don't have bikes they buy them to save money.....

I was told by the bank that I had to get rid of the trike or the wife.............................................................. God! Im going to miss her!
:D:D:D
LOL, Sir H!
Along those same lines, I have a t-shirt that says, "I got a motorcycle for my husband-- what a great trade!"

It's like I've always said. "You can't put a price on recreation". So, you keep riding and stay Happy. If you worry about what they say in the News, your going to get sick. I still have plans to start building my Trike in a Month or so, my biggest drawback was what kit I would get. I'm really leaning toward the Champion kit for my 2004 Ultra.

if you go by what the news and the newspspers say you would never buy or have anything. my wife and i have always got what we have wanted and never looked back. and that has been for 42 yrs. and if the lord is willing we are getting a new csc kit on our 2008 wing this may.
